  • Salad & Salad Dressing Recipes : Crisp Fresh Salads Are a Delight

    Ana Bridge

    language (, Sept. 12, 2012)
Salad can be served in so many different ways and salad dressings come in so many different flavours. Mix and match the flavours so they complement each other or provide contrast. Some of these deliciously wholesome salads are satisfying enough as a meal on their own, while others make the perfect starter, side dish or snack.I mixed salad needn’t be a mixture of all the leftovers in the fridge. Nor are you limited to only using iceberg lettuce. You can now choose from a wonderful variety of salad leaves in various colours and flavours. So combine iceberg, cos, butter and oak-leaf lettuce with other leaves. One of my favourite salad ingredients is baby leaf spinach. Give your imagination free rein and combine sweet and savoury flavours. While pineapple definitely doesn’t go with olives or tomatoes, strawberries with blue cheese and pears with bacon are sensational.I hope you enjoy!
